that a boy, terrible leadoff walk. Flores really freaked us. If he had not hit into a DP, Edwin would have been pinch hit for and wouldn't even be in the game.

Flores has 3 RBI's in this series. I mean, don't get me wrong, that was an awful AB, but let's not act like anyone other than Morse, Zimmerman or Espinosa have pulled their weight tonight. It's pretty much going to come down to someone getting on base for them.

Crap, Gorzo.  So we pull a pitcher who isn't pitching well for another one who statistically is the worst non Henry Rodriguez pitcher in the pen.  Great.

I can't ever imagine NOT murdering anyone who swings at a ball 3 feet inside on a 2-0 count with the bases loaded.

Flores is 3 for his last 24.  You tell me if he is good enough to start for a team in a pennant race.

Bernadina has been pitched around twice to get to Flores. All we needed there was a fly ball, that shouldn't be too much to ask. Hell, if hadn't have panicked he probably would have drew an RBI walk.

He certainly wouldn't be the first replacement-level catcher on a pennant team.

Edwin deserves an 'F' for this start. Only 1 K in 5 IP. Where has his strikeout touch gone?

MarkZuckerman: Remember when we all lauded E. Jackson as best No. 4 starter in baseball? Well, in 3 starts since: 16 ER, 21 H in 13.2 IP.

nobody, the point remains maybe he isn't as good as we thought, and maybe he is not the best #4 pitcher in league.  That was the context of the quote...

He is inconsistent. It is just who he is as a player.

This is all pretty normal for Jackson. He does this. Its why he doesn't get long term deals

I'm hitting the pool. Enjoy the game fellas. I'll bet 10 WNFF bucks that we somehow pull out a win.
