solid point.  i'm at above 3.  i'm not letting the team off the hook, b/c we've shot ourselves in the foot plenty of times, but manny has really been bad.  we should at worst be 6-8.

I suspect you could do a search of shoeshineboy's posts, to see how Manny games he lost us.  He's been pretty astute, (for a dog wearing a hat.)

the home opener, and two of the florida blown saves, by my count. was tonight on him too?

Should have pitched Mock 1 inning and Tavarez the next, so yes.

yes yes yes. Starting Cintron and batting him lead-off was a dagger.

Also his decision to pull Mock in favor of Hinckley in the 9th was a farce.

I just don't think it will make much a difference right away.

I have thought he should be fired from about game six of the season but last night was just awful. I don't care if we end up losing but we shouldn't lose because our manager brings in a guy that just pitched two innings the night before and someone he has been running out of the pen almost nightly. Hinckley has been our most reliable reliever so far, but we just recalled Bergmann and he has yet to pitch. Any option besides Saul Rivera would have been better than using Hinckley last night. A manager shouldn't be blamed when they do the right thing and it doesn't work, but when they do the wrong thing and it doesn't work that is a different story. Manny has just done too many things wrong that are obviously wrong.

That article is super-jerky. I actually hate it. He calls team the Gnats. Was it written by an Orioles troll from the MLB board?

haha i know.  we should have a party if he gets fired.

i'm just so tired of looking up to the mets as a model franchise.  they aren't that great and really are the second team in new york.  we hired manny away from the mets, because we think oh he's such a hot and young commodity for the mets, if they want to keep him around he must be the real deal!  he's regressed since his first year and it's gotten worse this year (making fundamental mistakes, terrible moves, etc).

How is the "New" bullpen better than the "Old" bullpen?

I'm sick of losing. I changed my vote from “Ask me later in the year” to “Yes”.

Walk the plank Manny.

they're arguably worse. Mock, Bergmann, and Wells have combined for 7 walks in 5 innings. :?

3-13 start after a 102 loss season ... how is he still a manager?

i honestly can't believe we have just 3 wins in 16 games.  amazing.  this isn't fun at all.

Maybe if you start nagging about the Lerners being cheap, it'll be like a day at Kings Dominion.

He needs to go, even if all of this misery cannot be blamed on him. The symbolism of the owners making someone, ANYONE accountable for this, not accepting this perennial losing, offering the fans a corpse to satisfy their lust for blood, and giving the franchise a breath of fresh air and an opportunity to start anew would be huge for an ailing fan base and franchise.

Wow that was a long sentence.
