This kind of rain—which knocks out DirecTV—is about the only thing that makes me consider getting cable or FIOS TV (we have FIOS phone and Internet). I'm trying to watch Panama at Mexico and the rain keeps knocking out the signal. Damn annoying. It interrupted the US game too, but we saw the two goals right before I finished making dinner so it bugged me less. Thank Gid tomorrow is Saturday and we can sleep in. This kind of rain makes you not want to get up in the morning.
I really don't understand the appeal of satellite TV. Had it for years when I was a kid. Clear view to the satellite all the time. No trees, no houses. And the damned thing would always suck in rain. Like, seriously, the one time I can justify sitting on my ass and watching TV is when it's pouring rain. And the damned thing can't find the signal.
