Quick advice on a GPS. The most important feature I'd be looking for in a GPS is real time traffic avoidance and rerouting. I drive through New Jersey and Southern CT, so being able to pick my way around backups intelligently would be a huge time and frustration saver. When to pop off I 95, the Merritt Parkway, NJTP v. I 295 to Rte 1, etc... would be great. I get frustrated a bit
Are the Magellan systems through AAA good at this? Do I need to spring for a Garmin (even though I hate Jonathan Vaughters)? Are Tom Toms good? Best buy has Magellan 2136 for $99 on-line, with traffic.
