Need some advice. Should I wait and buy these at the stadium on Tuesday or order them now? Do you think they will still be available considering it's a day game against an AAAA squad like us?

Do you have any idea when the gate opens on Tuesday? I was thinking about heading down early anyway for bp

With service fees the 2 dollar tickets are 4 dollars, you can't lose.

Although there are no tickets left there still is hotdogs, and peanuts and whatever else is one and two dollars those days.  Still a reason to come out to the ballpark.
They've only advertised the other items for Monday's game.  I think the only promotion on Tuesday is the $2 tickets.

Just got the E-mail reminding everyone about this promotion...wonder how many people are going to turn up at the ballpark tonight thinking the $1 ticket part of the promotion is still on? (See my post on the 'Pups in the Park' thread for one person who misunderstood that promotion.)

This email just arrived:

Quote
Monday, May 16 vs. Pirates, 7:05 p.m.
Enjoy $1 hot dogs, $1 peanuts, $1 popcorn and $1 parking TONIGHT! $1 tickets are SOLD OUT. Capital City View Seats start at $10. Some restrictions apply.

Could not be more clear, if people are dumb, that's not the team's fault.

You know it's going to happen and people are going to be seriously (and understandably) pissed.  What started out as a good promotion idea is going to turn out to be a PR nightmare.  Just imagine how ridiculous this will look if the stadium is 1/4 full and they turned people away for $1 seats.

Of course every one hearing and seeing the print, radio and TV spots are going to be looking for the fine print when they see $1 Monday and tickets.

If he's not, I will. On the psycho-philoso-social level, not the baseball level. People like to complain.

Complaining is the second most popular act on the internet behind pictures.

No way, trolling has got to be number one.

That keyboard would be more realistic if the key on the right was worn from use.

And another thing is that they should have switched the position of the keys.

Some people only read the title of the e-mail and don't bother to read the fine print. It says "$1 Monday is Tonight"... It could've helped to put a parenthesis and say that the tickets are sold out.

Further possible punchline - 50-60% chance of rain today, 90%-100% chance of rain tomorrow, per Yahoo! Weather and Capital Weather Gang. We got off easily during the Marlins series despite precip predictions in the 30-60% range...whether our luck continues for the rest of the homestand remains to be seen.

There were posts about the $1 deal in the Strasburg thread, where they didn't belong, so they were moved here but retain their original thread heading.

Looks like we'll get the match in before the downpour begins.
