Nordstroms has a great men's sale once a year.   Forget when though.

BB biggest sale is in November. The coupon code FNFBB3 used to stack with sales to take an addtional 25% off, it won't hurt to try. I am not a BB fan so I won't comment on the sport coat.

They were having a big one late last month.

Is that only online or in stores as well?

In stores, you have to whisper it discretely to the salesman.

My favourite pair of cutoffs were brooks brothers suit pants.  Nice fabric, didn't fray too much for a month or two each time I snipped a little more off.

So what's a good tailor shop in Fairfax county that can handle tailoring a suit?

Also, how do you feel about Herringbone vs Solid?

Oh and why are we not liking Brooks Brothers?

So, my wife got me a tie and a shirt. My wife is not the most savy when it comes to men's fashion. She's very much a tshirts and shorts kind of woman.

Can I pull this off?

I don't know if it shows up or not, but inbetween the dark purple and light purple there is a thin blue stripe that is close in color to the shirt.

Also, what trousers should I go with?
Navy Blue
Brown
Black
Light Khaki
Charcoal

I've been meaning to buy a pair of gray trousers. Maybe this will be my excuse ...

i don't like the tie with that shirt.  As far as trousers, anything on your list goes well with the shirt.

I don't either. I'll wear it with a white shirt tomorrow.

I wouldn't do the brown or khaki pants.  IMO anyway.

Should I buy these kicks:

http://www.amazon.com/adidas-Originals-Campus-Sneaker-Micinder/dp/B0021AF6MO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1354051703&sr=8-1&keywords=adidas+originals+indoor+tennis

or these

I know nothing about shoes. I want to start wearing them with jeans and junk. I posted awhile back in this thread asking the same thing but I never got around to it. I usually wear sandals or those bass boat shoes. I also rarely wear jeans.

Sounds good to me.

I just tied the most magnificent full windsor of my entire life. It is perfectly triangular, the perfect girth, the perfect shape, with the perfect notch. This is, by far, the most excellent thing I have done this entire month. Maybe all year.

I look fantastic. I am freaking glorious today.

You're a magnificent bastard. We're all jealous about that knot. I can barely get a tie tied to the right length anymore. And to think I used to do it every day...

You have to have a really big unit to pull that off.

Do they make extra long ties?  My ties are barely long enough with just a full windsor knot, no way I'd be able to do the eldredge.

Look at this hotness right here:

Is that just the back of a Windsor? Lol
