Man it sucks supporting a team that you're out-of-market of...I have no idea what happened, all gameday says is he flied out to Nady :-/

Nady was at full speed and had to reach full extension to pull it in just before the warning track.

Haha, Zim just patted the ump on the shoulder.  Isn't touching the umpire in any manner normally an automatic ejection?

Zimm was out, catcher got him on the tag.  Nice effort though.

Zim didn't dispute the call and it was his way of saying, "Okay."  Zim tried to dive over the catcher, without know that he caught it and tagged Zim-with-1-N.  The ump told him that the catcher held onto the ball.

I know all of that, but it doesn't answer the question.

If I remember correctly, the ump could have ejected him for the contact, but it is also at his discretion to do so.

Yeah that's the part I'm wondering about.  I thought it was automatic.

I've noticed that umps have been very patient this year, and reluctant to eject players in situations when they often would do it.  They've really kept their cool in games I saw on MLB Extra Innings.

Interesting.  I wonder if there's a reason for that.
