The way the Wizards are playing Leonsis would probably allow free admission with a two drink minimum.

The NatMobile guys must not have liked me pointing out that they were an hour late for the Wizards game, they had my reply Tweet deleted last night.  All I wrote was that the game they were heading to had started 45 minutes earlier, but it's gone this morning.  My first Tweet to be deleted by the moderators!

Looks like they have learned their lesson though, today's Tweet about the Mason basketball game notes the correct start time.

I didn't know others could have your tweets deleted.

I'm a lurker on Twitter, I rarely post, so I'm not too up on the rules, but I was certainly surprised to see that it had been deleted.  I'm sure that @NatMobile must have complained to the Twitter admin group, although I really don't know why they bothered, probably they were worried that it would be picked up as another Nats Fail.

That's strange. Do you mean they deleted their own tweet so your tweet doesn't show up? Or that only your tweet is now gone?

Only my Tweet.  I know it was there because when I turned on my phone this morning it was still displayed, but when I clicked on it I got a message that it had been deleted.

Could be that they didn't want their bosses to figure out that they screwed up and missed the pregame event that they were supposed to have attended.   :glug:

You can report tweets to have them removed.  Pretty sure Chad Pukes has done that.

But does there have to be justification for the removal?  My Tweet contained nothing abusive or offensive, it was along the lines of "are you aware that the game started at 6:05?".  Probably Twitter has too many users to perform any sort of analysis of the contents, if someone complains, the Tweet gets deleted.  The more I think about it I'm guessing that the NatMobile crew wanted to get paid for their trip to Verizon Center last night even though only the homeless were hanging outside the stadium by the time they showed up.

Hey NatMobile guys, did you see this one:

Going shopping for my Nats hat today.... Got to find a blue one. Orioles hat took some grief last nite.

The Caps are playing at home tomorrow (7 pm start), if I were you (and thank God I'm not), I'd get over to Verizon Center with a case of Nats hats for the whole team.  Better yet, head over to Kettler for their skate-around tomorrow morning.

I sent them a request to give him a hat.

How do you know these Nat Mobile are connected to the team? They could just be fans.

The Nat Mobile is a truck that they drive around to local sporting events handing out Nats gear, they also have trivia contests for free tickets to Nats games, they're certainly associated with the Nats PR department, they're the closest thing we have to a winter caravan.

Uh, no, I'm just rooting for my team which seems serious about contending for the first time ever.  Very disappointing to wake up with no concrete news, but based on there now being a third independent confirmation on Twitter it's looking like a done deal in the next few hours.  The official announcement will likely happen during west coast business hours while the big question is which of the MSM guys gets the confirmation first.  I'd be surprised if they aren't doing everything they can to track these Twitter guys down in order to chase their sources.

It is going to be so freaking awesome to finally walk down the halls at work and talk a little smack.  These local teams have been killing me and I can't stand all the jerk-offs rooting for out of town teams.  With our rotation and Fielder in the middle of our line-up we can play with any team in the league, bring on the mighty Red Sox, Yankees, and Phillies, bring on the season, we've got a dream freaking team.

Damn, I saw this thread at the top with 495 posts, and thought I'd missed The Big Signing overnight, then realized it was only 4 more posts on top of the existing thread with title changed.

Let's compare corner position offense if we had Prince:

Nats - prince, RZ, morse, Werth / harper
Phillies - Howard (Thome/wigginton), Polanco?, Pence, Mayberry
Marlins - Sanchez, Hanley, LoMo, ? (brain freeze)

NYY - F-Face, Aroid, Gardner, Swish
Bos - Adrian, Yooooooooook, Crawdads, Ryan Sweeney/Kalish
LAA - Pujols, ? (Trumbo will get a shot, but right now it is Maicer, I think), Hunter, Trout or Wells

A lot of those teams have more established talent up the middle (Utley, Ruiz, victorino, rollins; Jeter, Cano, Granderson; Pedrioa, Ellsbury, and eventually Lavarnway :) ), but our line up does not look to be too outclassed.

JCA - Mike Stanton is the Marlins RF.  Pretty big snub given his MVP potential.

Braves - Chipper Jones, Jason Heyward, Freddie Freeman, and Martin Prado (LF?)

Even with LaRoche instead of Prince, our corner guys look to be on about the same level as our competition in the NL East.
