Adam LaRoche is hitting in his spot and beating him in every category.

After I put the kids to bed or maybe in the morning as these beers are kicking in.  don't worry, I've got plenty to say about the albatross.

I think you're right - it was probably an attitude thing that got him benched today.

Whatever - someone needs to kick this team in the ass.  Whether it's Werth or Davey, I don't care.

They're still 14-8 right now, but watching them get 4 hits a game is excruciating.

Yeah, bench him for an "attitude" problem and replace him with someone who is years past his prime. You don't bench one of the only guys who has produced this season.

If that's the case, fine. I wouldn't buy the "attitude" excuse.

I don't buy the migraines thing.  Why did they wait until 30 minutes before game time?

It doesn't make sense that they benched him for attitude. A three game slide and the team's 'tude falls apart, or Werth's does?

I doubt it.

Because he's a better option than Bernadina? I'm thinking it was a "here have a day off now that Moore arrived" sort of thing.

The Nationals reporters are saying he got a migraine 30 minutes after arriving, and Kilgore noted that he's never had them before.

Did Werth do something that I missed or is PB just guessing?

Just guessing.  But guessing about a guy who ran a teammate out of town before his first spring training in town was half over, about a guy who was known to have clashed with a previous manager who ended up quitting based on lack of support from the FO, about a guy who blamed his crappy performance last year on the team staff for not supplying his swing tapes early enough in the spring, about a guy who is known to have not wanted to play centerfield due to the wear and tear of the more difficult position.  So when the current manager makes a virtually unheard of move to scratch the guy just 30 minutes before game time, it's more than a guess, it's based on a past history of being a head case.  Migraines my ass.  I'm just glad that Davey has the backing of the FO to sit Werth down.  Werth can pick splinters out of his butt until he comes around to DJ's way of thinking.
