Uhh... New? As in only new STHers? See, this kind of crap rubs me the wrong way. Even any other season, I wouldn't take as much issue with it. But folks who jumped on the bandwagon post playoffs get some 'treat' that established STHers who sat and paid through 100 loss seasons don't? Yeah, not a fan of that idea.

Not new as in this year, new as in handed over their credit card at Nats Fest. They'll probably have a giant bell that they clang when someone signs and a wheel of fortune for them to spin to claim their prize.

The Nationals posted this to Twitter today:

Obama's coming?

One would think he'd turn up for the visit of his beloved White Sox later in April.

They've had Kennedy at a few games
A 5th Racing President will be announced at NatsFest. If they already have the costume, JFK would make sense.

Nope, he was on field for the scripted potion of at least one race.

I like the earlier suggestion about William Henry Harrison.

Alternatively, Grover Cleveland—he wins a race but then can't win two in a row. (Utterly useless trivia: Grover wasn't his first name—his full name was Stephen Grover Cleveland.)

They could have races with:

Abraham Lincoln
James Garfield
William McKinley
John F. Kennedy

The 4 assassinated presidents, wandering Nationals Park as ghosts

Silent Cal Coolidge . . . president in 1924.  (Though a 3rd Pres with William & Mary ties, like James Monroe, would be nice.)

If it's Obama, I will never go to a game again. And no, I don't care if that comment pissed anyone off.

He could lay down for a nap in the middle of races.

He could hang out at the loft between innings.
