Knight looks pissed.  Love it!

Dude needs to take over Manny's position.

you know it's bad when Ray Knight has lost it. Him and Johnny are two of the most positive people I have seen.

A baby would manage better than Manny.

How bout Tavarez as player-manager. He's got fire  He'll punch stuff. Maybe players.

I'll have to catch the replay on MASN tonight after work just to hear Dibble's comments and to see Ray Knight lose it, haha.

Watching all of these misplays happening right after the other is really depressing.

Knight also has a voice that sounds like he's been yelling at the TV all game.

As long as you leave my ticket rep. out of that, she's been a pleasure to work with, and has proved what a great person she is too (she's also a hottie, but that's besides the point).   :)
haha they are the best people.  what's her name?

How bad did Cabrera look today?
terrible.  defense didn't help, but no excuse he was bad.  if there's a better option, we should use that.  he was bad.

hammondsnats- you're hilarious.
AZ, Dukes set the tone of today's play with a bonehead misplay on a routine flyball.  Absolutely terrible.  I like the guy and he's better than Milledge, but he's inconsistent.  You and SF get so defensive over your loverboys.  Dukes has been pretty solid this season thus far, but he's not perfect, today he made a bad play and it cost us.

same old crap from Acta. yawn.

I love Ray Knight. he said he would get them out there practicing catching fly balls. Seriously, he would be a huge upgrade over Acta.

I was hoping it was because Mark Lerner was firing him.  But I have my doubts that junior has the balls to do that stuff so it'll fall to Kasten.

Edit: if and when.

I thought he looked a little nervous.  He was giving the usual canned answers but didn't have any conviction behind them.

Pelfrey, Mets take advantage of sloppy Nationals
By MIKE FITZPATRICK, AP Baseball Writer 11 minutes ago

NEW YORK (AP)—Mike Pelfrey gave the Mets a healthy and effective start, Ryan Church drove in three runs and New York took advantage of sloppy play by the stumbling Washington Nationals in an 8-2 victory Saturday.

Still struggling to get the big hit, New York scored four unearned runs off Daniel Cabrera to build an early cushion for Pelfrey, who missed his previous turn in the rotation due to forearm tendinitis.

Helped by solid defense, Pelfrey (2-0) allowed two runs, six hits and three walks while striking out one. Sean Green, Bobby Parnell and Brian Stokes finished up.

The Nationals played poorly behind Cabrera (0-2), who lasted only 2 1-3 innings. They committed three key errors while dropping to 0-8 on the road and 3-13 overall, the worst record in the majors.

That's not how I would have described it. But interesting.

I've blacked this game out of my memory already. I really don't remember.

I tuned out when Dukes missed a flyball that scored 2 runs and brought in a third the next hit.

I flipped back and forth but from what else I saw it was awful
