Cory VanAllen was the only Nationals/Harrisburg Senators player selected to participate in the AFL’s Rising Stars Showcase game.

I like VanAllen, but Detwiler and Davis would have been more logical picks in my mind.  I don't know what the criteria for being selected was, but there are some weird selections.  Eddie Kunz is garbage, I don't even know how he made the AFL.  Gordon Beckham has had all of 58 at-bats a professional.  Shawn Bowman surely should have made the team over Brett Wallace.

With that out of the way, congrats to VanAllen.  Let us hope he shows some better stuff in the remainder of the AFL season.
