Happy day. Of course I hate to see Morse go and really hope we get equal value for him.
But I was in the 'we need LaRoche' camp.  Hopefully he isn't complacent this year because it's not a contract year.
... but that tends to be the way it goes. I hope he is motivated by the chances of winning the pennant.

I just hope we get to see Morse this year even if he is playing for the opposing team.

I know LaRoche is the better option for us, but I'll miss Morse and his positive vibes he brought to the team. I'll always remember seeing him in Georgetown after game 4 and he looked at me and said "Nice hat!" and kept walking, I didn't realize it was him until a couple blocks later. Good luck wherever you go Morse.

Battle of the Beltway, I'll see if Hammonds has some O's gear he can loan me.

Hate to see him go but I think it's the right team move.   I voted LaRoche because of his abilities at 1B.    Span, Harper and Werth works for me.    As for the walk-up song  ....   Never heard it before and couldn't hit the notes if I wanted (without somesort of unmentionable surgery).

Voted Morse, because of his Samurai Cobra Snake abilities in the on-deck circle.

I'm worried this will be our chance:  http://washington.nationals.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20130108&content_id=40887438&vkey=pr_was&c_id=was

Speaking of DC Washington, he absolutely KILLED the national anthem at the Skins wildcard game. It was incredible.

MMorse as Nat:.130 OPS+ (1353 PA) = Clemente, Winfield, Yaz, Boggs, Carew, Teixeira, EMurray. Not "trade bait" REAL hitter. No hurry to act.

The #Nats feel the #Rays would make great trade partners for Michael Morse.

If Nats don't get right deal for Morse they're prepared to just keep him which would give them depth and prepare for injuries in RF, LF & !B
