I'm calling it now:

By the law of Nationals performance of inverse common sense, we should hang 5 on their 2.3 ERA starter and knock him out by the 4th, then get shut down the rest of the game against a string of their worst 6+ ERA relievers while Perez falters and gives up 3 in the 5th.  One of our relievers will then give up a 3-run jack, and the Pads will get an extra insurance run somehow in the 8th just to crush any remaining hopes we had.  This is all while we're still being shut down by Joe Sixpack.  Final score - Pads over nats, 7-5.  Khalil Greene will somehow figure prominently in the final outcome.

We'll probably also be outhit by a roughly 2:1 ratio.  If I had to guess I'd say 15-7.

Either that, or we'll get something like 11 hits, but at all the wrong times (e.g. two singles followed by three strikeouts).

I hadn't look at the standings to know that, but that's a really good point!

Good point...should be a somewhat low-scoring game...I wouldn't be shocked to have another 4-2 game...I just hope we're on the other side of it! :D

10 games under really would be the "dagger" for our season. if we reach 10 games under, then next is 15 games under, and 20 games under...

if we stay above 10 games under i think we can progressively reach .500. need to turn things around now though.

ZIMMERMAN IS OUT OF THE LINEUP AGAIN. SMFH. WE NEED YOU BACK R.Z. i'm guessing he's just gonna take the whole series off and watch us get swept.

We are sending out an absolutley terrible line-up. And Estes is having some succes in the early part of the season. Wouldn't be surprised if he shut us out if he had his stuff going.

This season has long been sacrificed. I'm sure their lockers are already packed up back in DC.

Yes this season is over and I wish Manny's tenure as manager was as well.

Endy Chaves homers in the bottom of the 9th in a 5-4 game against the Fish to tie it up. It's his first HR of the year. Listening to all the Met fans cheer for him is pathetic. They have been booing the crap out of him all year.

Last year he had a syringe up his ass...this year a wooden bat.

He sucks with the bat, so bring back the syringe.

Shawn Estes has given up 2 or fewer runs in all of his starts (3) this season.  This should be fun.

Wow, interesting. Sutton's voice must still be effed up. Maybe people were complaining that his voice was annoying.

Is that who's been talking kind of hoarse lately.  Geez, go home and rest the vocal chords!
