Dibble is preaching.

this is freaking pathetic. the pitch calling, selection, execution by the whole staff is just a farce.

nieves has to have one of the worst ERAs for a catcher too btw

That's a good one. I doubt the number is under 20. If McGwire's number was not retired I would say 25 if not I would say 29.

He's struggled with that but he's the best pitcher we have (as far as stuff) and I'm not worried. He is going to be a good one (unless he never overcomes this issue :?).
He's got great stuff but he isn't learning from his past mistakes which is frustrating as hell right now.

He continuously gives up 0-2 count hits and makes at least 1 giant mistake a game that costs him and the club.

So you're saying McGwire's number was retired and it's not 29? Who wore 29 and had his number retired?

true.

but Zimmermann is just not good enough right now. the Ks and low walk totals are nice but he makes too many mistakes. not good enough.

All it takes is 1 bad pitch to ruin the game. it's happened with him 2 starts in a row.

But if you force pitchers to keep making pitches, they're going to make mistakes, especially at this point in the game.

25- Jose Cruz(Astros)  29-Rod Carew(Twins/Angels)

absolutely. we had runners on 1st and 2nd with 0 outs a few innings ago and scored none. that will undoubtedly come back to bite us.

sure the offense scored 4 runs but they should have scored much more.

Jose Cruz    Rod Carew    :?  I'm embarrassed that I didn't think of Carew. Then I'd have to say it's 37 or 38.

You should probably ask me who wore 28 that I thought had his number retired.  :?

No I don't wear jerseys of any kind. I can't walk around with someone else's name on my back. But that's pretty funny.

What is the thinking here, really?  How can anybody think Kearns at the plate is a good thing?
