Redding said he is feeling better after back problems, so expect him to pitch
against the Phillies. Redding acknowledged he was able to relax a little more
this offseason because he was able to show he still is a quality pitcher. Last
season, Redding was one of the feel-good stories on the Nationals.

Hamels sputtered through another Grapefruit League season with lackluster
results, but the confident lefty isn't concerned. He had a poor Spring
Training in 2007, then won 15 games. His biggest goal this season is to
stay healthy, something he'll have to do if he's going to realize his goal of
winning 20 games.

I like Johnny and Ray but man do the guys behind the scenes producing the pre/post games show SUCK.  They had all day to make sure all of the clips were in proper order and the show was ready to go by 6:30 and they still fail miserably.

just like with all all-star pitchers, we gotta get to him early. because once they get into a zone, it's a wrap. hudson on opening night is a prime example.

Only the Nats could get two walks and a hit in an inning and not score. Zimm's flyout would have been a 3 run homerun if it was a little warmer out. Oh well.

Besides the homer on opening day, Zman has been ice-cold.

Yeah, some nice at bats though. I like the approach. Both Zimmerman and LoDuca had the right ideas. Hopefully, that wasn't just a first-inning thing. Kearns continuing to show some nice plate judgement (and frustration at some questionable umpiring.)

Of course, most guys are going to start slow when facing Hudson. Zimm has looked like he has had some smarter at bats to start this season.
