Man, wasn't Upton #1 on that list last season?  That thumb injury during game 2 really destroyed his season up until September.

Supposedly the Rangers are no longer trying for Justin Upton.  They might want Morse and they have a fairly deep minor league system and a deep bullpen.  Moreland plays 1B for them but is a lefty.  Morse would be a monster in their stadium.  Seems like a decent match.

Morse doesn't offer much upside over Mitch Moreland, who's a lot cheaper as well.  Maybe Seattle comes knocking on our door now that Upton refused the deal Arizona had to send him there.

Agreed. But Chipotle needs to spread out the sour cream on the burritto. I hate when they plop it on one side.

No troll road > troll road

Not trolling. So far, Kershaw has proven more. He has a Cy Young under his belt and successfully pitched 200 innings.
Heyward over Stanton? Wow.

That's a push to me. Maybe a slight nod to Heyward because he's remained healthy, where's as Big G Stanton (hey, I'm gonna try it out) has already shown knee issues.

Uh ... Morse has shown when healthy, he's a better hitter in the NL than Moreland is in the AL. Honestly, a healthy Morse might hit 40 bombs in that park.

...and Yankees seem to have budget problems. Lost Swisher, replacing him with the guy Swisher will replace on the Indians. Reporters suggest the end of the world (as we know it) is near. Russ Kanzler (sp?) does not remind anybody of Michael Morse, or even Nick Swisher. NYT reports that Yankees have asked about Morse, who would be a perfect fit. See:

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/01/09/sports/baseball/nationals-michael-morse-moves-into-yankees-sights.html?ref=baseball&_r=0

Problem for the Yankees: who do they have who is worth a half of Morse?

Al Leiter picked his Ultimate Starting Rotation on MLB Tonight, the best #1, the best #2, the best #3, the best #4, the best #5.

1) Justin Verlander
2) Zack Greinke
3) Jordan Zimmermann
4) Anibal Sanchez
5) Ross Detwiler

He was picking the best starter's in each respective spot.  The best #1, the best #2, and so on.

That's completely arbitrary though. The Tigers depth chart has Anibal Sanchez at #3, and I imagine we'll settle Detwiler/Haren 4/5 with a coin flip or something.
