Hard to tell, for now it seems to be the former as this is his best season.  Time will tell if it is the latter.
Davis could go 10 for his next 59 and still be hitting .300 (30/100).

Bottom of 7, up by 5. I think I can breath tonight. Maybe even have a beer and enjoy myself.

Good job by Joel.  I'm guessing we go to Saul next inning.

Or Ayala. He hasn't pitched in a few days.

from the looks of things, he quietly(i say that because I don't recall anyone ever talking about him)put up some decent numbers last year split between Hagerstown and Potomac.

I'd let JH have another one, but they won't.

no it's not a hot streak for Davis.  He's been killing the ball all season at Potomac and Harrisburg.

He pitched two innings last night.  4 innings in 2 days is a lot.

That ball was hanging asking to be crushed.

Davis in 2007 (split between hagerstown and potomac):

.285/.330/.519, 29 2b, 20 HR, 26bb, 108k in 432 ab.

lots of Ks, but otherwise solid numbers, i think.

but like I said, i don't recall anyone even mentioning this kid last year at all, among "top prospects".

Debbi Taylor reports from the President's Club (without telling viewers that tickets cost over $300 for the President section behind home plate.)  Notice how PACKED it was?  And probably air conditioned.  They really don't care if the seats are empty, as long as they rake in the money from them.  The first-rate food is free, but you MUST pay for the drinks.  You do get seat service for beer and hot dogs/sausages, if you INSIST on watching the "game."  So those sales will really bring in free agent money.

Notice how the other night, Debbi was pushing the ice cream whatever-they-call it cart in the outfield, without telling you how much they charge for it?  SHILL!!!!!!!!!

Dmitri Young is back to his 2007 form.  He really has a good eye at the plate.

just glancing at Davis's stats, it seems like he's your typical slugger type, lots of power, lots of strikeouts as well.

He has put up decent enough numbers through his minor league career, but I do not think anyone really considered him a legitimate prospect until this season, like you have alluded to.  I have a problem with declaring him the real deal just yet, I don't think that one real good season b/w Potomac A and Harrisburg AA translates into major league success.  Im going to take a wait and see approach with him, but I am liking what I am seeing.

the great thing aboot baseball is you don't have to be a can't miss prospect ... look @ lannan.

davis has a pretty darn good k/bb ratio this season.  kid should get a look.

Besides a couple of late home runs, Belliard has been awful this year.

well make no mistake, his 2007 numbers are actually pretty damn good, i think.

most of his 2007 was in hagerstown though.

He killed Hagerstown last season, and and slipped a little bit when he was promoted to Potomac.

year 2 in Potomac he adjusted, and killed Potomac, but the difference is, he hasn't shown any signs of slipping in Harrisburg.
