Dukes is being carted off the field. I can't handle much more of this. I really can't.

The more I watch this team, the longer the season goes, the less likely I think they are to avoid a 120-loss season.

And they're only 9 games away and it's not even the All-Star break!

Questionable move by Manny. Doesn't he know Rivera is $$$ against lefties? I hope the move works but I'm doubtful.

This is almost unbearable... Guzman and Dukes were the only two worth seeing in this lineup.

 at our potential lineup tomorrow against Volquez.

Bernadina - CF
Guzman - SS
Young - 1B
Boone - 3B
Kearns - RF
Pena - LF
Harris - 2B
Nieves - C
Balester - P

Perfect pitch. Manning just owned Griffey.

Me too. I think a shut-out is almost a certainty. Balester will probably have a rough 2nd start too. 10-0 loss sounds about right.

Damn i got pretty happy each time the top of the lineup was close because i just wanted to see Guz and Dukes combo, seeing as they usually got a hit. But the potential lineup tommorow seems terrible

Bernadina takes a meatball 88 mph fastball for a strike and then chases a garbage breaking ball in the dirt.

Bernadina blows. Nook logan 2.0, they're almost identical in every way.

I don't think it's possible to have a worse team than ours'. It is just sick how pathetically bad we are.

As per Chico:

Quote
In the bottom of the seventh, Elijah Dukes rammed into the left field fence while drifting back to catch a Jay Bruce fly ball. When his right leg hit awkwardly against the padding, he fell to the ground, where he lay for several minutes. While being attended to by the team trainer, Lee Kuntz, Dukes was holding his right knee.

He left the field on a motorized cart, with his right leg extended flat.

I'll update once we know more on his condition. But I don't think it's too speculative to say the injury looked quite serious.

As per Chico:

it appeared that his leg was actually injured when he planted it on the turn. It looked like he lifted it up lame before he it the wall.
