PSU has more than OSU

Rice has the one in baseball, but others as well
Actually...I believe baseball is the only team sport to have won a national title while representing Rice University.

I am kind of like their "dad" while they are at Spring training down here in Florida.  All of the players are great kids! Lets not forget they are kids who play professional baseball for a living.
The reason why some of the " posters" are a little negative is because they never made it into the bigs and they take their frustrations out on the Nats organization and the players.
 Yeah, THAT'S why we're mad.  It's not because we're FANS OF THE TEAM, spend hundreds of our own money to watch them at the park, and invest a lot of time and emotion.

No, it's because "we're all just jealous."

Rice actually does have only the one national championship to its credit. BUT, Rice is the smallest Division 1 school to win an NCAA National Championship in anything over the last 50 years.

I wonder what the reason behind Bard catching the new guys could be?

snell and nieves are both right handed.  that's probably why Maxwell isn't playing either.

Bard may have caught Stammen. Nieves may need time to heal.

Rice is the smallest I-A school period.

I think its because he has a ton of expierence catching Tim Wakefield, the knuckleball pitcher. He won't let any "Debut , Wild" pitches get by him so the starter won't get rattled because of wild pitches.

Wake Forest is actuall smaller, by almost 20%.  And if we include major basketball conferences so is Xavier, which is even smaller than Wake.

Wikipedia enrollment figures have Rice smaller than both, with Tulsa as the smallest, due to recent enrollment increases at Rice.

Actually they've won the sailing title thirteen times. I'm using Wikipedia as my reference for all this stuff. But it says they are D-III.

Rice is, contra PAnatsfan, only the second-smallest Division I school with a football team, I think...?

Wake Forest 4400 undergrads
Xavier 4000 ish
Rice only about 2800? EDIT: 3000
