He is a rookie, even if he pitches a shutout tonight, there will be games he'll get blown up
It is all a learning process

I know, I just wouldn't be excited if anyone gave up 6 runs..

He doesn't look to be a big flyball pitcher either.

I'm salivating at a rotation of
Strasburg, Zimmermann, Lannan, Martis, Stammen.
Detwiler is also a possibility

The future looks very bright

I think we're going to be ok with what we've got, let's draft a bat.  We don't need Strasburg

The Birds are getting their doors blown off again tonight. Down 6-0 in the second inning in New York. Barring a miraculous comeback they will come into D.C. with a 4 game losing streak.

Rick Eckstein needs to address how stagnant this offense has become.

O.K.  I'm finally here.

Listening on XM.  I see we're up 2-0.  How'd it happen?

Also, I heard Dave say that Stammen sat down his first 12 hitters.  How's he look and what's his pitch count?

I'd like to see a shot of the bench right now to see if they have all started avoiding Stammen like the Plague yet...

Single and double to start the 2nd.  Ground out by Bard brought in the first.  Sac Fly by Hernandez the second.

Are you kidding me? This offense is still potent
Remember, we're without Dukes and Flores too

Just mad that PSU beat GMU in the NIT.

Not really a GMU basketball fan. More of a UMD basketball fan, a team better than PSU. Though I won't talk much trash because of the teams 1-35 record vs. Penn State in football.
