Bacsik needs to really shut his f%@&ing mouth.  No one wants to hear that s***.  I don't know how the rest of the guys put up with him day in and day out.

He's probably not as garrulous on regualr days but since he's miked he may doing it for the fans...

Are his supporters now finally convinced that he is trash?

No, because all anyone should have ever said about him is that he is effective as a situational lefty. Putting him in to pitch an inning against a bunch of right handers was simply a concession and asking for trouble.

Over the last 12 games (including this one), the Nats are 3-9 and have been out scored 74-35.  Totally outclassed.  During this period of play they are getting outscored by an average of 3.25 runs per game.

Who's watching this train wreck?   :-[

The worst part is that I have Chipper Jones on the Forum Head-2-Head fantasy team, but ON THE BENCH.  He missed a lot of ABs recently with both wrists and something else hurt on the base paths.  He has 8 fantasy points tonight and 12 for the week, but NONE of them count on the bench.  Meanwhile, I started Zimmerman, who looks good in a tux but has ZERO fantasy points tonight and 3 for the week.

I started Smoltz and now he's DONE after 5 innings.  He will get me 24 points for the night, but it's 2 points alone for just completing another inning.

Hillenbrand was released today. I'd take him over Fick.

lmao.. This is just comedy at this point.  total disarray.  Looks like we'll be seeing Balester and Lannan in no time.  Jim and Manny said if we continue to play like this then there is no reason why they shouldn't get a shot.

The hell with it, just like ronnynats' caption says, I will wait for as long as it takes. I may get down on my boys here and there, but that's because I expect and want them to do well. But no matter how dismal they are or get I'm a fanatic of the Washington Nationals and that's not ever going to change.... :koolaid: :glug:

I like how everyone is just now realizing that Andruw Jones is garbage.. I have known this for years..

Calling Andruw Jones garbage is a bit much, after all, he's not, nor will he ever hit for high average. He's a power hitter who drives in runs, even while hitting for a crappy average like he has been so far this season.

How many garbage outfielders do you know that have not only won 9 straight gold gloves, but have also driven in an average of a 100 runs per season going into 2007? I cant think of any garbage outfielders that fit into that category, so Jones, who may be in a bad slump at the plate, is still driving in runs, is anything but garbage.

I'm starting to get the impression that you don't like Fick and don't want him on the roster.

I'd say.  I'll take Fick over Batista, Logan, Traber, King, Bacsik.

Ok, whatever.  If a pitcher is smart, he can get Andruw out with ease. Anyways, Do you think it is smart to sign Jones to a 5-6 year deal worth $110+ million dollars this offseason?

Based on the relative strengths of the two teams, this series is far worst than the Tigers series.

The Tigers scoring almost at-will is not at all surprising because they have the best offense in baseball.  The Braves, on the other hand, didn't score a run for three consecutive games but see what happens to them when they sink their teeth into the Nationals!

McCann owns Traber, so please let's stop making excuses for Traber about his being only effective against lefties. Situational pitchers should only get half salary

Sportsfan882 just became What-the-Fick's favorite "fan."

And I also have McCann on the Forum rotisserie team.  Another homer.  THANKS!
He was 0-16 before this series.

Somebody tell Sutton that NOW is NOT the best time to be promoting the sale of season tickets to Nationals games... not when we're losing 12-0.

True. He's the only one that makes NO sense to me. Batista, I thought, was supposed to be a mentor for the minors and then maybe become a manager or something. At least HIS experience in the majors has some positives to it.

Fick, since his .199 season in 2004, hasn't shown any potential of turning things around. This is a team that needs to bring up some younger players for guys like that.

Eh, this is the last time I complain about Fick. I'll have to believe there's a reason for him being here.

It does seem that the trend is to use a guy like this right before outrighting him.

I don't think you've ever played baseball. I just get that impression for some reason. I think you think of baseball players as robots and those that don't pitch or hit as expected every at-bat or every pitch are just broken robots that need to be replaced.

Jones has been feared for years..and for good reason.
