Nook's speed we might be a luxury we can't afford because that's his only asset right now.  He can't hit and his defense is sketchy.

The only thing he's valuable for is pinch running and we can't use up a roster spot for that.
That's the same thing I have thought.  On a good ball club that can afford to have a player just for pinch running, he is okay.  But on our ball club that needs all the help hitting it can get he is just not getting it done (defensively or offensively).  Langerhans has played well so I see no reason why he shouldn't start every game in CF until he proves that he is no longer worthy of starting every day.

Yeah at first i thought Nook was better(he still has more range in centerfield than Langershan and has a better glove, but he lacks instincts), but Langerhans is better with the bat, and jsut as good on defnsive side. I'm ready for him to get a majority of the playing time

Now score some more runs.

Don't worry about "catching" them.  It'll happen if it happens.

that was pretty terrible.  Zimmerman continues to puzzle.  He had looked fine over the weekend and then he comes home and goes 0/4

Ayala pitched 1 perfect inning for Columbus tonight with 1 K.  He is going to rest the next 2 days and then attempt to pitch Thursday and Friday.  He should be back on our team next week in Atlanta if everything continues to go right.. i can't wait until he comes back because he is great and abreu sucks.  Also, Brandon Watson went 0/5 and it looks like his 43 game hitting streak will come to an end.

If he comes back at 2005 form that will be a huge bonus for the pen ... but he has not pitched at the big league level in a LONG time ... I hope he does well ... I've always liked him so I'll be pulling for him mightily ...

Nice work by Saul.  Over his last 6 2/3 IP he has not given up a hit.  His season ERA is down 3.07.  He is definitely our #3/4 reliever only behind Chief and Rauch.

We need at least 3 this inning..it's really tough to get that many off of Jones. Thank goodness Zumaya's injured.
