Hm... I'm thinking Morse's hit streak may be over as well.

It's just a home streak.

Hitting over 300 it's not a problem - when the hits stop falling in you re-evaluate.

Morse will hit a homer this inning.

Danny Espinosa will hit a homer this inning.

It'd be nice... but if I were Riggleman I might consider keeping Clippard in here and letting him finish it off.  He didn't even break a sweat in the eighth.

Considering who was at-bat, THAT was the worst offensive half inning of the game.

I blame Tyler Durden for jinxing the hitters.

Agreed, but Riggles is big on well defined roles.  There is some value in that from a management/leadership perspective, irrespective of what actually makes sense at the time.

Contrary to your thought, pulling Clippard now makes him readily available tomorrow if the game is tight, which it is likely to be.

Carp took the night off from the booth to pinch hit?

Fair enough... but what if we used Clippard one inning tomorrow, then Storen for two innings instead?  I do understand where he's coming from, but when a guy is clearly rolling like Clipp was and makes very few pitches you have to consider it.

Please note that I was responding in kind to Minty's initial use of "bare".

It was actually spoprtsfan, but you perpetuated it.

I can't bare to watch. We have been burned way too many times like this

Besides, it lets me post this:

Holliday learned how to say Gutierrez.  Yesterday he was saying Gutterrez.

Haha, what a bad call.  I'd be pissed off about that if I were an M's fan.

That first pitch was a ball so I can't really complain about that one.
