Braves announcers:  Nats want Johnson back mid-July so they can trade Dmitri Young

I wonder if they were just blowing hot air to fill up air time.

I hope we can get one more inning from Bergmann. You got the bottom of the lineup coming up so he could work himself out of it quickly enough if he executes his pitches.

I'm curious to see JIminez get an at bat. I mean if Watson can turnit around, so can he

His 2007 minor league stats were excellent, across the board.  Right-handed and lefties almost the same.  But he was 1-14 with the Nationals earlier.  He's 29 and was born in the Dominican Republic.

McCann singled to shallow left center, Renteria scored, Jones to second.  Bergmann is now at 75 pitches.

Nationals 0
Braves 1

I have McCann on my Forum rotisserie fantasy team.

Based on the way we're playing offense, that was a BRUTAL half-inning!  One run feels like five or six.

One hit per inning ain't gonna cut it unless that one hit is leaving the park!

Hudson completely owns the Nationals. He should change his name to Lerner. I bet he wishes he could go up against our lineup more often.

Hudson is a top 5 pitcher in all of the Majors when he pitches like this. Not embarrassing..just running into some fantastic pitching.

Hudson PC is 63 through 5 with 7 K.   That's extremely low with that many Ks.

Hudson has been awful lately and this is the 3rd freaking time we have faced him.. You'd think by now we'd have an idea of what we are going up against.

The former Brave Ryan Langerhans gets a round of applause from the Atlanta crowd as he came to bat for Bergmann, who's done.  Ryan #3 has played a lot better for us, but strikes out.

Traber in relief...

I'd say it was decent. More than what I hoped but still shy from being awesome or stellar considering he was only able to go 4 frames in 76 pitches. I'm glad he got his feet wet in this start. Now he can go work on stamina so he can stretch his next start in Pittsburgh and then be back to 7 plus by the time he faces the Marlins at home before the ASG.

Traber's my favorite pitcher on this team. That mid-60s curveball is sick.
