Finally, Zim and Short are in the lineups...I don't expect a win but if we win then, we still have some chances!

I hope Watson didn't swing at a 2-0 count...can anyone clear things up?

Why bench Guz?  Deivi hasn't been doing nearly as well lately.

Why start Baerga?  Are we trying to lose?

This was a big shame......haha.

Maybe I'm crazy in the head but Short doubled so they wanted to walk Cruz so that they could turn a double play after. They pitched three straight balls to Cruz and he swung and hit a single Short didn't move so they still had a chance to turn a double play. Bennet came at the plate but he didn't ground out into double play but HE LINED OUT INTO DOUBLE PLAY. They got their double play in a weird way.

WTF, the baseball gods are really mad...

Don't be afraid to tell me if I need a psychiatrist!!!!!!

Does anyone else find this weird and funny?

Paraphrasing George Bush:

No one could have predicted that Rick Short would get hits!  Roll Eyes

How many games in the last two and a half months could we have really used just one more damn hit to put us over the top? Not using Rick Short, at least as a pinchhitter, was a fatal mistake, I believe on F. Robinson's part.

Wow. I've read alot of stuff about Short on the net...the majority were (and still are) saying that Short is a AAAA player, too good for AAA but not enough for the majors but the thing is, Short never played in the majors before this year.

Short DESERVES some playing time what if he could be as dominant in the majors as he was in AAA?????

I expect Short to start on a regular basis now.

Well, any baseball expert can take one look at Short, and tell he's not a major league player.  They said Kirby Puckett was never going to make it, either.
