...Not sure what the Rockies are doing or if they are playing yet.

Scoreless in the 5th.  They MUST win and San Diego MUST lose for a SD-COL playoff to be required.  SD is losing 6-4 in the 6th.  Brewers are good at home, only.  EXCITING!  Good for baseball as a sport.

Well, I'm going to log off, folks.  Despite the loss, this was a better season than any of those so-called baseball "experts" out there predicted.  And, the Nats did help to destroy the Mets' chances, so that was a plus.  Anytime you make a New York team pay, I'm all for it.

We're all going to Oregon later this week to visit some of my wife's family.  Be back later on!

There ya go Jesus! My favorite pitcher finishes off the season nicely.

I'll be looking forward to next season more than any in the history of the Expo/Nationals franchise! Hopefully we can make some major moves in the offseason, like signing A.J. and trading for D-Train!

I just can't believe we could go an entire series without hitting a home run in this ballpark.  That almost defies belief.  <wide-eyed shock>

It's official - Fredi Gonzalez is the 1st manager in MLB history to go an entire season without having a single thought.

Actually I'm torn between Rockies and Padres.

My niece is near SD and knows her Aunt Carol likes baseball.  I think she's at that perfect age where an experience in the post season would be cool for her and me as well.

I just wanna see a "new" team in the Playoffs. I'm sick of seeing the same teams in it ever yr, it gets old after awhile. I like the Rockies too. Matt H is a beast and deserves recognition for it. His side kicks are skilled too. Go Rocks!

You DO realize that Jamie Moyer once played for the O's.

THAT explains the smell of dead birds when Moyer's around....

That's it. Phillies deserve to go to the playoffs. They have the strongest offense, a solid defense built up the middle, and they came to play. The choking Mets have no business going to the playoffs. The Nats played better down the stretch than the Mets. I may hate Phillies fans but the Phillies are a better representative for the NL East.

I'm disappointed that the Brewers didn't get in. They are really showing up the Padres who may have one of the best shots.

Well, I can say it's been an honor to be the Gameday mod of the forum, and to start 106 of the threads.  My goal for next year is 140 threads started.  But for now...

GO NATS!!!
