Also, we can still see the game from RH&B (in case Chief wasn't aware of that).

Yes Chief, there's a Red Hot and Blue INSIDE the stadium.  I think behind 323.  To leave such a game early would be against our Pledge!!!

By the way.  I think I heard last night that gates open at 10:30 tomorrow.[...]

They do - per full Last Day info from club site: http://washington.nationals.mlb.com/was/ticketing/lastweekend.jsp?affiliateID=edWASfinal092107.

And even though I have a ticket to a crucial Redskins-Giants match kicking off at 16.15 that afternoon, there is no way I am leaving the baseball early. Tomorrow is about saying goodbye to where it all began for me back in 1963, and celebrating the realisation of a hope I nurtured through 28 years' baseball-less residency in this area...no way I'm walking out on that. I don't care if the match goes 19 innings with a rain delay tossed in (although per Yahoo! Weather no precip is expected tomorrow)...the Burgundy and Gold can wait till the Lions match on 7th October if need be.

Bravo!!

There will always be another NY Giants game.   There won't be another Nats game in RFK.

I am attending TONIGHT's LAST NIGHT GAME EVER at RFK.  Free commemorative posters are being distributed.  I don't go to a lot of games, but they have WON every single game I've attended.

I looked at the Nationals' web site at tickets for the Home Finale tommorrow and the BEST seats available for 2, 3 or 4 tickets are in Section 510, the upper area behind home plate.  So I think there is going to be a HUGE crowd for the send off.

We should have a lock on it, then. Sa-weet!

It would be great if they had a huge crowd.

If there's a crowd, it'll probably be mostly philthies fans :?

I DO, um... have my bases covered... since I picked up tonight's Phillies' pitcher, Kyle Kendrick, for my Forum rotisserie league fantasy team.  We have Hanrahan against a Phillies ace tommorrow.

Just means we'll have to get there early enough before they run out of t-shirts. Don't want them all to go to Philly pholks.

I'll try to remember to stop by RH&B after the President's Race.  Though, I'm a bit shy!

My bad.  He did come by briefly while making the rounds, and I completely forgot to drop down a few rows to make the introduction.  Also, I had a piece of paper with CALSGR8 and Zilla's seats and Zilla's phone #, and I think I dropped it fumbling around before Saturday's game.  It never appeared and so I blew those meetings as well.

However, I did hook up with Minty, his brother and friend, and Bags and I met up both weekends (posts on the MLB board as DaveBinMd)

Sorry that I didn't make it over to RH&B. I got engrossed in the game and my scoring. Will plan on being at our winter armchair meeting, though.

I happened to chance by Tom on the way out of the parking lot after the game, managed to speak with him briefly! :)

Great seeing everyone else again as well and meeting Jayman.  I hear I just missed meeting NOTLD, maybe next time!

Hey Everyone.

It was good meeting and seeing you all again!  Sorry I didn't stay long.  I had missplaced my cell phone and had to retrace my steps.  Went to guest services and they had it.  Good thing I had a special screen on mine.

Guest services:  Describe your cell phone.  What company?
Me:  Verizon.  Its got Cal Ripken's HOF plaque on the screen.
Guest services:  hands me phone, sign here that you got it.

I didn't pick CALSGR8 for nothing!   ;)

It was good meeting spider, and Jayman, and Gaithersburg and Madison (and finding out what the pink backpack meant).

I ran into NATSFAN1A after the ceremonies.  It was good seeing her and her husband again too!

By the way, TFS was a little jealous because I put the girls' favorite cartoon character Kevin on the board.  OK TFS, fair is fair.

Here's Ben10

Take care people.  IT was a blast!
