interesting.
which one is the best and why?
I want to play Fantasy baseball this year, for once. but I don't want one of those fancy "rotisserie" or whatever leagues. sounds like cooking, not like fantasy baseball.
I played Fantasy Football once, and in the league I was in, I had a "game" every week against one of the other members of the league, and whoever had the higher accumulated stats won the "game". and whoever had the best W/L records at the end of the season got into the playoffs, and the winner of the playoffs won the league.
I want something like that.

After playing in my first FFL, I too am interested in doing a fantasy baseball team this year. I'd prefer something simple though, like what JMad describes.

only bad thing about Yahoo is they force you to sign up for one of their crappy email address when you sign up for something else, like Fantasy baseball, or Yahoo games.
wish I could just sign up for that, without the crappy email.

I am a ESPN baseball guy, Yahoo football. You want a head to head league... you play against another team each week. There are usually 10 categories up for grabs and you get a win or loss for each one... only bad thing about Yahoo is they force you to sign up for one of their crappy email address when you sign up for something else, like Fantasy baseball, or Yahoo games.
wish I could just sign up for that, without the crappy email.

you dont have to use their e-mail to have a log-in and in the options you can always change the e-mail address only bad thing about Yahoo is they force you to sign up for one of their crappy email address when you sign up for something else, like Fantasy baseball, or Yahoo games.

ESPN provides free live updates for their free leagues. I think Yahoo tries to make everyone pay extra for that in football; I don't know about baseball. I was in an ESPN baseball league last year and I thought ESPN was outstanding in what they provided, even for a free league.

My pay league tends to stick to sportingnews

The fantasy baseball league I'm in uses CBS Sportsline. I would recommend it from my experiences with it.

I did ESPN and had zero complaints.
Is there a WNFF fantasy league?

I have found ESPN to have the best drafting software. I took about four years off from fantasy baseball until my brother talked me into joining ESPN.com when it became a free service.
I used to use Sandbox.com which was a great site for fantasy sports but the service was about 7 bucks per month and now you can find great user-firendly sites for free. But Sandbox was great because they only focused on fantasy sports and nothing else. Very user-friendly site.

I'd like to be in too, but I don't want to "intrude" since I'm still a fairly new guy. If there is an opening, I'd like to join in too.

Yeah, usually we're scrambling to fill out the league. That's how tomterp got drafted two seasons ago, it was slim pickin's evidently.

There may be enough interest for multiple leagues this year.
