It probably was.  Bon Ami is a powder, but you mix it with water (sometime vinegar - windows).  It's a lot cheaper per bottle, and then goes a whole lot further.

Right, and someone absent-mindedly did so in a glass <laughing>

Better deals that Restaurant.com? When they have 80% off sales, you can get a 25 off 35 gift certificate for pocket change.

never heard of restaurant.com. just checked it out. those deals look good (and it is not just 1 per day), but there seem to be stipulations that make them less good. like $10 for a $25 gift certificate, but you have to spend at least $35. so it becomes $20 for $35

Like I said, they have 80% off sales all the time - I think they have end-of-month sales quotas. If you wait for the sales, you are looking at $12 for 35. You can use 1 per restaurant per month, they last a year, and I've used them in many different cities, never had a problem with it.

Through the end of the day, it's a 60% off sale, code BLOOM, so it's $14 for $35.

I think you can buy 1 per month and use 1 per month per restaurant per dollar amount, but they last a year. I forget sometimes and have to run out and use them.

Vocelli Pizza destroys all other franchise pizza - even Boli's and Armand's.

Olympus digital cameras. The SW series is waterproof and drop-proof and very affordable. Also their phone service is fantastic- a person, in America, answers right away, and they are very knowledgable.

Too bad they own the XD card patent, but that's my only complaint.

Kohl's. For a man who just wants cheap clothes with no fuss, it can't be beat. If you buy clearance clothes off-season, you can get nice stuff for a dollar. Their website has amazing customer service, and they have really amazing sales. They have cool toys, too.

As am I.  I think interest is important from a pragmatic standpoint, but you know, the more we pour our money into these "bailout banks" the more they commit highway robbery with our tax dollars.  The only pitfall is traveling a lot (i.e. if you travel a lot, it's good to have some dough in a national bank).
