Anybody know where, at the Caps games, the Nats players will be signing autographs and talking pictures - at the DEWAR club (2nd level), or Acela Club (2nd Level) or the room where they have the chalk talks for the Wizards & Mystics (can't remember the name-it is on the 4th level)?

I would think the main concourse.

I asked the attendant at Verizon last night, he made inquiries and said that they had not completely settled where the players would be, but that it was likely they'd be scattered around the concourse level, not all in one place.  As many as 15 players/others to be there, he thought.

anyone heading to Potomac tomorrow?

There will be alot of people going to Potomac Nationals in Woodbridge for the autograph signing, etc., from what I have heard from fellow season ticket holders (yes, I have season tickets for P-Nats and Nationals, both) Better get there early to get in line for autographs, etc.             icon_mrgreen

Always the case, despite the sentiments sometimes posted on this forum, the autograph lines fill up pretty darn quick and plenty deep

Potomac Nats autograph signing, last night, was fun, fun, fun. Not as many people showed up, as I thought there would be, and the line was not that long into the Locker Room where everybody was signing. I was disappointed that more players did not show up to sign, and I didn't see Riggleman as advertised. But it was a very laid-back atmosphere, and you had more time to have conversations with Espinosa, Dibble, Storen, and Screech (who mostly whistled his answers). By the way, Espinosa and Storen are absolutely hilarious to talk and joke with, if you don't know already. Also Storen has this really neat and precise, and very small (magnifying glass level) handwriting, especially when he signed his number.
Last night, a fan  had got 120 Baseball cards of Rob Dibble for  99cents off of E-Bay, and while we all stood in line, he and his kids passed them out to the fans standing in line to use to get Rob's autograph. What was funny was they were all the same card - so here are all these people giving Dibble the same Baseball Card to autograph.....it was very funny - but then of course, Dibble caught on fast and someone finally told him the story (although I don't think they told him, that the guy got 120 cards of Rob, off E-Bay, for 99 cents -didn't want to insult him right-off.).
Next year, maybe more players and personalities will come to Potomac for the autograph signing - cause it was a good crowd, friendly crowd, alot of joking and laughing, and everyone was having a great time.

From two different threads on the other Nationals Message Board, no one in the Nats Promotion Office seem to  know if Dunn is showing up for any of the FanFest 2010 events.

         No surprise there........ Roll Eyes

Catseye, thanks for the report on the Potomac event.  Living vicariously through the more active members of the forum....

Dunn did attend the hot stove luncheon, right?  At least he's in town, then.

absolutely no chance thar the nats promotion department is simply incompetent.

it's gotta be Dunn being a selfish jerk, specifically to personally make you angry Catseye.

He was at the Caps game last night!  Got his auto.  He's supposed to be at the PG location today and then he'll be gone for the rest of caravan at White Flint and FanFest.  Pudge is supposed to be only at Fanfest.  I got a lot of autos there.  They had one long table on the main concouse level and another long table on the 400 level.  The one long line moved rather quickly.  Of course the only people who were in line were CAPS fans and NATS Fans!  You had to get a Caps ticket to get in.

I got:  Morgan, Capps, Speier (pronounced Spy-er), Bruney, Dunn, Willingham, Lannan, and I forget the rest off the top of my head.

From the Nats MLB blog, some guy showed up at the Nats luncheon wearing a Regina Pats (WHL) Tony Plush uniform.   <applause>

Quote
The Tony Plush No. 1 Regina Pats jersey was priceless. Morgan played for the Pats of the WHL for a brief stint during the 1999-2000 season. He played in seven games, scored two goals and sat in the penalty box for 20 minutes. Don't mess with T. Plush when he is on the ice. On the other side of the scale... his teammate that same season Brett Lysak played 70 games and had only 24 penalty minutes.

Here are the pix I took at the Hot Stove Luncheon (for what they are worth).  Tyler Clippard & Josh Willingham sat at our table.  Got autographs from Dibble, Morgan, Storen, Bruney, Speier, Riggleman, Lannen, Stammen, Dunn, Willingham, Clippard, and Marquis. It was a fun event.  Looking forward to the FanFest on Sunday.

FYI, Rockville Pike is a disaster and the drivers are worse. I'd sit the White Flint event out, unless you Metro and then take a bus, I guess.

Light attendance would make it the best one to go to.  More time to chat up the celebs.

Is Zim allowed to sign at these, or just chat?

I'm working on getting the baby a signed 2010 team set, he'll appreciate it in 5-6 years, but it looks like the 2010 Topps cards aren't out yet.

I think last year he just posed for pictures, no signings.

I called the NATS and pressed 5 for the weather line.  So far NATSFEST is still on for tomorrow but no word about the other events.

Metros still regular schedule so I guess if you live near (like next door) to a Metro stop you can try to go.  However you still need a bus between White Flint Metro and the mall.

That's The Rubber Chicken guy, aka Hugh. My seat is right next to his, so I'd know his face anywhere. Anyone that's been to a Nat's game and sees a rubber chicken waving in the front row behind the Nat's dugout should know who I mean.

I'm gonna be heading down soon with the lady.  Does anyone know if this event is indoors or outdoors?  It's frigid outside.
