90 is the number of feet between bases.
I'm trying to think a little more outside the box than that...

Decided today I'm in for a $10-15 ticket for OD - if I can't make it, it's not that much of a risk. Exciting!

I thought about buying a ticket to opening day, but then I remembered that it will be 70/30 Phillies fans to Nats fans. Thanks Kasten!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ActiniumIt is about 150 times as radioactive as radium, making it valuable as a neutron source for energy. Otherwise it has no significant industrial applications. Sometime your jokes are weird.

That's funny, but remember that Actinium has to work with elements provided by Bowdunium.

It isn't hard to get wishing for baseball Opening Day amid all this crazy cold and wind we've had for the past week.

Where would the lowest concentration of Phillies fans be in the stadium? Last year I was in left field, which was about 50/50. Right field looked miserable.

According to Wikipedia, the number "88" represents neo-nazis: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/88_%28number%29#As_a_Neo-Nazi_symbolEighty-eight is used as code among Neo-Nazis to identify each other.[2] H is the 8th letter of the alphabet, so 88 is taken to stand for HH which in turn means Heil Hitler.[3] For example, the number is used in the song "88 rock'n'roll band" by the neo-Nazi group Landser. The late convicted Order terrorist David Lane wrote "Fourteen Words" and 88 Precepts, and the numbers are often found in combination (1488, 14/88, etc.). This form of the number has inspired the naming of the groups Column 88, Unit 88, and White Legion 88. Where do these chimps get such ideas?

In "Back To The Future" the DeLorean has to at least make 88 mph in order to travel through time.

Targer had a bunch of shirts on the shelves with 88 all over them a few years ago. I'll find the link later.
