i was surprised that RD started at all.  There was a blurb about him being shut down after his last start (on the 'Notes' section in the footer of an ESPN 'recap'.).

YUCK. cannot stand Josh Lewin nor Tim McCarver. two of the worst in the business.

Uh, ANYONE is better than Joe Buck, so it's a win.

It's a reward, and they don't want Segovia embarrassing them on national TV.

Ian Desmond FTMFW <pimp smiley>

It's unbelievable that they are calling him a bat-first middle infielder. He's got to be a lock for next year.

Bob called him a "real asset" yesterday. 2 letters too many.

You should have seen the two awesome catches he made in this game. spectacular

he did botch a routine DP but he didn't get an error because you can't assume a double play.

that sickens me. Ross holds them to 1 measly hit in 5 innings and they bring in Saul Rivera and Ron Villone who manage to blow it in one inning. PATHETIC.

Rivera with a 6.62 ERA. It is stunning how far he has fallen. Villone is a left-handed specialist that can't get out lefties.

Jamie Burke pinch hitting in a tie game? Undecided

I thought Riggleman was playing to win these games. Apparently not. Anyone that uses Villone, Rivera, and Burke has no interest in winning that game.

Willingham hasn't done anything in months. Embarrassing offensive performance today by the Nats.

His numbers have been strikingly different.  He used to give up too many hits/HR's, but recently, he's done the opposite - issued a lot of walks while keeping the ball in the park and allowing few hits.

It's hardly national TV.  I think Tigers/Royals is being shown in most markets.
