I know, I know... its only Spring Training...

BUT.

Where do the Rays find these guys?

Sean Rodriguez, a guy they picked up from the Dodgers in the offseason went 3-3 today with a HR, 3B and a 2B.

He's already got 3 HR's this spring and is sporting a pretty .833 AVG.

Infamous Nat Killer may not be able to make the field this year.  From MLBtraderumors:

Guess his star rose too fast and he couldn't handle it, because his performance had dropped before his anxiety became public.

Rodriguez actually was one of the top Angels prospects for a couple of years.  Obviously Friedman is a geek and reads Angel fan websites.

When you are feeling down, you can always laugh at Cleveland:

That's good too.

I have two #44 jerseys - Milledge I paid for and Dunn I got for free one Tuesday last year.  Anyone have a Preston Wilson?

Debatable.  There are people who think Bush wasn't a bad president.  Acta has nothing to stand on.

Bush is better than Obama because he didn't stiff the Nationals to throw a first pitch on Opening day.

Markakis has an awesome swing. Maybe my favorite in the majors.

In this case, I am missing the ability to show a picture again.

Absolutely cleaned out that inside fastball.  He needs to show last year was the fluke (which i think it was).

Buchholz was not on.  It looked like Martinez was trying to have him throw inside off the plate to LHBs.  He one nice called strike on Scott, but otherwise, not a good outing.  I missed the comeback, but who cares if it was accomplished by the Pawtucket and Portland against Norfolk and Bowie.  Bard was hit around, too.  I liked George, Mickolio, some of the guys between Guthrie and Berken.  miggy looked good too.  Put some juice into the ball and looked OK at 3d.

I saw this in today's Post. Dusty Baker talking about Aroldis Chapman

Quote
"I doubt they even had a pitch count" in Cuba, Baker said. "That's very important. Sometimes you can under-pitch a guy if he's used to throwing. I see him out there throwing long-toss. He throws every day. This winter was probably the longest he's been off in his whole career. You just hope you don't un-train him."
